Cate Searle

Cate has practised in Community Care Law since 1999. She has a background in health and social care work and a degree in Developmental Psychology. She leads a team of nine based in Martin Searle Solicitors’ Brighton office, but with clients and casework across England. In addition to acting for individuals and families, Cate advises and represents a number of Professional Deputy firms and Personal and Catastrophic Injury litigators. Cate has written for a number of publications and regularly contributes expert opinion to social care media coverage. In 2019 this included a Radio 4 File on 4 programme about mental capacity health and welfare decisions, and a Sunday Telegraph front page article about misleading information given to families by social care professionals.
