Andrew Cowan

Andrew is a lawyer who is recognised for his specialism in affordable housing and care in the United Kingdom; its funding and regulation and the governance of not for profit bodies involved in affordable housing and care. He is a regular speaker and writer in his subject area. He has carried out assignments in other jurisdictions arond the world on social housing provision and regulation. Andrew holds a number of non-executive positions including with several charities.In the guides to the legal profession in the UK, Andrew is ranked as a /Senior Statesperson/ in Chambers 2024/5, in the /Hall of Fame/ in the Legal 500 (2024/25) and in Best Lawyers (2024/5).Andrew received the NHF Lifetime Achievement Award in housing finance in 2018.
