Iain Sim

Iain is a solicitor, teaching associate on the University of Strathclyde’s DPLP programme and consultant to Strathclyde Business School. He has extensive experience providing executive education to several large-cap FTSE 100 companies. Iain has specialist expertise in anti-money laundering (AML), having developed multiple AML training programmes over the past decade. He regularly advises law firms on drafting practice-wide risk assessments (PWRAs) and designing policies, controls and procedures (PCPs). He also delivers bespoke in-house AML training tailored to the specific needs of individual firms and has published widely on the subject. A confident presenter and experienced writer, Iain’s work has appeared in the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland and the Scottish Legal Times. He is co-author of Commercial Awareness for Lawyers (Sweet & Maxwell).
